this is the best recipe for oatmeal out there… Nothing else comes close. Friends raved then bought me a pound bag now I eat it every day. Sustained even energy and delicious…It’s definitely worth paying a little extra for a premium product like Big Deal oatmeal. I’ll be eating this daily for the rest of my life.
It is great oatmeal! Would love one without nuts and seeds though.
Hey John, this is the best oatmeal cookie I’ve ever had in my life. Moist, flavorful, sublime loveliness. 💛
Jenny agrees. Thanks for the cookies! Big Deal Oatmeal is the best oatmeal meal too!!
Crazy to title it as amazing oatmeal, how can oatmeal be amazing? THIS is how oatmeal can be amazing. It really is A BIG DAMN DEAL!! I enjoy it over greek yogurt with maple walnut syrup, the fruit, the seeds, the spice....FR, its a big damn deal.
I stumbled upon Big Deal Oatmeal while walking through a farmer’s market during a trip to Asheville. I sampled it and made sure to make a purchase before I left the market. I have not eaten another brand of oatmeal since that day. The only downside to the oatmeal is that it’s pricey (I have to order online and pay shipping), but it is worth it. It is easy and quick to prepare. It has a lovely texture and just the right amount of sweetness—I do not have to anything to it to make it taste better. And an added bonus is that the owners seem to be lovely people. I’m very happy that I made that trip to the farmer’s market that day!
While visiting Asheviille, we luckily went to a farmers market where we first discovered Big Deal Oatmeal. We have been ordering it ever since! So simple to prepare, tastes delicious and great for you - fantastic way to start the day! My wife and I love it - mix with a little fresh fruit to make it even better - so happy we discovered Big Deal Oatmeal!
This is So delicious. I’ve never found an “oatmeal” I actually enjoy but I make this night before with flax milk and can’t wait to enjoy with my morning coffee!
The best oatmeal ever. Delivered it to me when they couldn’t get a delivery date after the storm. Dedicated to their customers and community.

As a producer-only farmers’ market, our mission is to strengthen the local foods movement of Western North Carolina by organizing a dynamic and inclusive outlet for farmers and small businesses to connect with customers and community.
The North Asheville Tailgate Market is a vibrant Saturday morning gathering place that creates a fun, safe and enriching environment for youth, adults and folks from all walks of life. We began in 1980 to offer local farmers an outlet for selling their farm fresh goods. What began as a handful of farmers, now represents over 120 of the best farmers, bakers, growers, chefs and artists.
Today over 80% of these vendors earn their primary income from self-produced products. Cooking demos, dietitian talks, live music and our Growing Minds at Market are just a few of the ways we engage our community in education, health and culture.
